MISSION:
STAGE LEFT, an Artworks youth theatre workshop, is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to enrich, educate, and entertain the young people of our community by providing creative opportunities in arts development, leadership, performance, and team collaboration.


PROGRAMS:

Stage Left Summer Backstage:

  • A week-long day camp for students in middle and high school.
  • Offers experience in technical aspects of theatre.
  • This program, in collaboration with Maskrafters Community Theatre, will allow students to design, build, and manage sets, costumes, lighting, and sound for an actual musical theatre production.
Stage Left Players:
  • A  theatre workshop for middle school and high school students.
  • The Players meet weekly, under supervision of the Director or guest teacher, to pursue projects written/adapted, directed, designed, acted, and produced entirely by the players themselves.
  • The Players present one main-stage production and one original production each year.
Stage Left Young Players Project:
  • A curriculum of theatre-related courses offered to pre-school and Elementary-aged students.
  • Topics include theatre games, acting, creative movement, costume and makeup fun, storytelling, readers' theatre, etc. 
  • Begins January 2006.
Stage Left for Scott County:
  • A program designed to bring theatre to all students in Scott County, Kentucky. 
  • Theatre workshops, taught by the Director, offered to area preschool and private schools.
  • The repertory program developed by the Stage Left Players will be made available to Elementary, Middle and High Schools in Scott County, as well as to local private and preschools.
