The Scott County Children's Chorus, founded in 2004, is a nonprofit organization providing musically talented Kindergarten through 12th grade singers with an opportunity for musical expression, enrichment, and advancement. The Chorus is supported through tuition, and with the assistance of Artworks. The group has three goals:

1. To offer children in Scott County the opportunity to work together in a noncompetitive way that weaves together a diversity of singers from many schools, churches, and neighborhoods.

2. To offer children in Scott County the chance to further their education in the arts through learning a body of classical music and gaining formal music training with a qualified director.

3. To offer children in Scott County a positive forum through which to represent their community.

The Scott County Childrenbs Chorus is directed by Natalie Tilford. Singers from 4th through 12th grade may audition each fall and spring.

The Scott County Childrenbs Preparatory Chorus is directed by Rebecca Abbott. It is open without audition to Kindergarten through 4th grade singers.

The Childrenbs Chorus and Preparatory Chorus rehearse at Faith Baptist Church on Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:30 pm, beginning Thursday, August 21, 2008.
