Wednesday evening join us at 7 pm to read from (or listen to favorite selections from African American authors). The Gallery opens at 6 pm to feature artworks created by students at the Ed Davis Learning Center as they explored drawing and clay as they learned about the life of Dave Drake, potter, poet and for a time, enslaved. It is also another chance to enjoy the splendid exhibit.
Bring your lunch and enjoy a talk given by Prof. Daniel Graham from Georgetown College as he reveals the process and impact of linocuts and woodblocks, and gives us a chance to see some of his work. Stay afterwards to see the current exhibit, Celebrating Black History Month.
For those of you who have tickets and are wondering, our classical guitar concert with Jeffrey Bianchi and extravagant hors d’ouevres WILL take place tonight – enjoy the snow inside the toasty warm Arts & Cultural Center.
